Expofrut in figuresThe company has got approximately 20,000 hectares in Argentina, of which about 4,000 are currently in production. It has 20 plants, mostly used for packaging and cooling of fresh fruits mainly distributed in Río Negro, Cuyo and NOA (Argentine Northwest), totaling more than 220,000 square meters covered. The company employs monthly about 1,700 people, reaching nearly 6,000 employees in peak months of high production. It works with more than 450 fruits suppliers, considered strategic partners of the company, from different provinces of the country: Tucumán, Salta, Entre Rios, La Rioja, San Juan, Mendoza, Buenos Aires, Río Negro and Neuquén. This relationship also increases indirect labor. The company exports about the 90% of its production to markets like the European Union, Scandinavia, United States, Canada, Arab countries and new markets like Russia, Poland, Croatia, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Ukraine, Turkey, Libya, Venezuela and the Mercosur. Because of this figure, it stands as the leader in this segment, with a 24% of the export market of fresh fruit and vegetable of Argentina.
